It seems like every time you turn around, teenagers are
often portrayed as troublemakers and problems.
We believe teens are not only the future,
but also have great value today.
Our Youth Group is for Students in grades 7 through 12.
Regular Youth Group Meeting Starting on February 26th!
We’re excited to say that we had our first Youth Ministry Team meeting and it went really well. Thank you to all who were able to make it, and to all who are willing to serve and are enthusiastic about youth ministry at ELC. The Youth Ministry Team will meet quarterly, that means that a lot of ministry will happen between the meetings, and a good amount of communication will happen via email, bulletins and newsletters. So please read the youth page carefully, mark your calendars with the upcoming events, bring your children, (if you're youth reading this... simply come), and of course think and pray about ways you can get involved.
We're hoping to have two Youth Group meetings a month, every 2nd and 4th Sunday, plus one youth event each month. Also we're hoping to add an extra youth event for 5th and 6th graders (every 4th Sunday of the month). We have a wonderful group of 5th and 6th graders and we feel it is important for them to meet and build relationships as well.
Our first official Youth Group will meet on February 26th at 6:00 PM. Both 5th through 6th grade group and 7th through 12th grade group will share a meal in Fellowship Hall and then will divide into two separate groups. Youth groups will be over at 8:00 PM.
