Sunday School at ELC
There are classes available for all ages.
Children from birth to age three meet in the Nursery each week.
Children ages 3 and 4 meet in Room 105.
Kid’s Bible Club is a fun place for children from Kindergarten through 4th grade to learn Bible stories through various activities. Children gather in the Tent Room, They are introduced to the day’s lesson through a story and music; then they move into other areas to further experience the lesson.
Classes for older youth
A Pre-Confirmation Class for students in grades 5 & 6 meets in Room 206. This class is led by Stacy Beck.
Confirmation Class is for students in grades 7-9. This class, led by Carol Hughes and Mary Heefner, prepares students for adult membership in the church. The class meets in Room 204.
High School students meet in the Youth Room for discussions about topics facing the church and the world today.
Adults may join one of the following classes:
The Augsburg Class follows a curriculum developed by Augsburg Fortress, the ELCA publishing house. The Augsburg Class meets in the Chapel. Ellen Hess, Bob Brown, Gene Haugh and Enoch Newlin rotate as teachers/facilitators.
The Discoverers Class meets in Room 103 (beside the chapel). Bill Musey serves as teacher/facilitator.
The Explorers Class meets in the Community Room. This class will be studying “Ten Key Events in Jesus’ Life” by John R. Bucka. Dan Cool serves as teacher/facilitator.
The Lutheran Class meets in Fellowship Hall. This class is a Bible Study group led by Ed Yelinek. The text they use is “Books of the Bible” by John Hayes & Keith Schovile.
5th Sunday Sing Alongs are held in the Chapel at 9:30 a.m. on the fifth Sunday in months which have five Sundays.
